Unger Educational Series Highlights Smart Staffing Strategies

KnowledgeWorx and Unger teach managers how to evaluate cleaning costs

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (January 5, 2006) - The labor intense cleaning industry is
constantly affected by change, including budget re-allocation and higher
demands on quality control. Compliance with evolving maintenance standards
challenges building managers to improve jansan strategies that will positively
impact the bottom line. To help managers make the most of essential building
data, Unger Enterprises has joined KnowledgeWorx to provide ongoing smart
staffing seminars that consist of half-day courses conducted by
KnowledgeWorx. The tutorials will discuss justifying capital expenditures,
calculating return on investment and determining how training will increase
worker productivity and enhance performance. The seminars are hosted by
Unger distributors and are third in a series that includes classes regarding
restroom hygiene and sanitation and healthy high performance buildings.

"Unger is dedicated to its distributors and providing them with value added
services," said David Frank, president, KnowledgeWorx. "These seminars
offer a way to educate cleaning professionals on several, current jansan
issues and challenges while providing a valuable source of occupational
development."

Each of the Unger-sponsored seminars examines the impact that staffing
levels have on cleanliness, hygiene and the appearance of a facility.
Administrators, managers and supervisors will learn proven methods for
documenting their work and labor loads. In addition, they will discover
techniques for improving budget allocation. The seminars also feature
discussions regarding best practices for gathering building data, fundamentals
of workloading, determining the right staff for a facility, assessing return on
investment, asset preservation and life cycle analysis, justifying worker
education and effective communication skills.

"The best staffing decisions can be made with building information that is
already available," Frank added. "The key to making accurate judgments is
knowing how to optimize data usage to assess current conditions and
forecast future labor requirements."

Unger Enterprises is dedicated to the education of facility service providers
and has conducted educational seminars for more than three years. Recent
topics include "High Performance Healthy Buildings - Establishing Green
Cleaning Standards" and "Restroom Sanitation - The Simple Approach."

"We are dedicated to educating and enhancing the overall cleaning
profession," said Mark Unger, COO, Unger Enterprises. "KnowledgeWorx is a
leader in providing education that improves the professional performance of
the cleaning industry. We are happy to be working with KnowledgeWorx and
continue to look for ways to improve the overall cleaning profession."
