UFP Technologies Announces Acquisition of Stephen Packaging

GEORGETOWN, MA - UFP Technologies, Inc., a leading manufacturer of custom engineered packaging materials, announces its acquisition of Stephen Packaging Corporation, a fabricator of custom foam packaging solutions based in Miami, Florida.

The purchase gives UFP Technologies an assembly and distribution facility in South Florida, allowing for greater access and service to customers in the southeastern United States. UFP Technologies will be exponentially growing their servicing capabilities by combining its existing Florida plant with Stephen Packaging's South Florida facility.

In conjunction with the deal, UFP Technologies has retained the services of Stephen Packaging president Scott Sacks, who has over 17 years of packaging experience in the South Florida market. Sacks presided over $1 million in business for Stephen Packaging and will allow for better customer service in the southern part of the state.

"I am very pleased to be joining forces with UFP Technologies," says Sacks. "Their diverse capabilities, engineering expertise, and purchasing power will make us more competitive in the marketplace. We will gain efficiency by combining our manufacturing operations into UFP's Florida plant, but will remain responsive to our customer needs by maintaining a local final assembly and distribution center."
