U-Bolt Manufacturer Increases Capacity with Newly Designed Equipment

Leading special fastener and bent bolt manufacturer is nearing completion of year-long expansion and re-investment.

A break through in production of threaded rods and studs, has resulted in the ability to produce 8" per second of precision gage-fit thread products. R&R Engineering has invested in the new technology to increase capacity and improve effeciency.

R&R Engineering also owns the world's largest fully automated U-Bolt machine, with a diameter capacity of up to 1" and part length of up to 60". This amazing machine can cut material to length, roll up to 6" of threads on each end, then form to finished shape. The machine will produce 50 parts per minute.

Other newly installed equipment includes a new 5/8" high speed Videx straighten and cut-off machine, and a new GSW Heat Treating oven, which will reduce delivery time and lower production costs.

Another new machine still in construction, will become the world's largest single end planetary thread roller. This thread machine will be able to roll up to 1.25" diameter parts with up to 12" thread length.

R&R Engineering currently has 73 high speed threading and forming machines in service, producing inch and metric fasteners as well as threaded wire forms. The company is located in Central Indiana.
