TURBOCAM Chosen as One of the Best Companies to Work For in NH

January 2014 – Barrington, N.H. (U.S.A.) – TURBOCAM is proud to announce that it was named a semi-finalist in Business NH Magazine’s “2013 Best Companies to Work For” competition.

Each year, Business NH Magazine seeks out New Hampshire’s best employers. Businesses statewide submit applications detailing their benefits, company culture, employee development strategies, and mission statement. They also ask for letters from employees answering questions such as “What do you like about your job?” and “Describe your experience working for this company.” A judging panel, made up of Business NH Magazine staff and New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility members, determine the 20 semi-finalists—10 large companies and 10 small companies. The judges visit each semi-finalist on-site and meet with small panels of employees (no top management allowed). From there, the judges select the 10 finalists.

In selecting TURBOCAM, judges applauded TURBOCAM’s onsite gym, which is open 24/7 for employees and their families, monthly company luncheons to discuss company news, and quarterly bonuses based on achieving financial and quality milestones. Judges were also impressed with the company’s ongoing wellness initiatives, $1,500 adoption bonus, and raffles where employees can win $50 just for working out. Finally, judges liked how employees pay for food in the cafeteria via the honor system, with the proceeds going to local and international charities.

“TURBOCAM strives to maintain our small company values and culture as we’ve grown into a large company,” said Mark Overmyer, TURBOCAM’s Director of Organization Development. “There is always more work to do to make and keep TURBOCAM a great place to work for every employee, whether in New Hampshire or at other locations around the world.”

Business NH Magazine featured TURBOCAM in the December issue with the other small and large companies recognized this year.
