Tuffaloy Products, Inc. Acquires CMW, Inc. Assets

Greer, South Carolina – Michael S. Simmons, President and CEO of Tuffaloy Products, Inc. has announced the pending acquisition of the assets, intellectual property and product know-how of CMW, Inc., a leading manufacturer of resistance welding products based in Indianapolis, Indiana.

“CMW, Inc. is one of the pillars of the resistance welding industry and we feel fortunate to be able to carry on the proud trade name and product offering of CMW.” says Mr. Simmons, “Originally known as P.R. Mallory Company, CMW has been around since the turn of the 20th century and was there at the beginning of the auto industry, working with Henry Ford on the first automotive applications for resistance welding. It would have been a loss for this industry to allow this once great company to be liquidated.

“We know that the coming months are going to be a challenge to my senior management team to realign, move and restart production of CMW products” according again to Mr. Simmons, “The manufacturing assets and know-how of the former CMW, Inc. will be aligned between our Tuffaloy Products’ site in Greer, South Carolina and its sister company Resistance Welding Products Ltd. in Blenheim, Ontario”.

“During the transition period we are encouraging current CMW customers to contact Tuffaloy directly regarding product availability” says Rick Bruno, Tuffaloy’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing, “Our customer service manager, Mark Garner, can be reached at (864) 517-1154 or mgarner@tuffaloy.com and will be ready to help CMW customers during this transition period”.

For additional information on the transition, please contact Rick Bruno at (864) 517-1167 or at rbruno@tuffaloy.com.
