Tripp Lite Launches Smartonline Hotswap Parallel UPS Systems with a High Power Factor and Redundancy Configuration Option

New power protection solutions has 0.9 power factor which allow increased capacity and has enhanced reliability N+1 configurations when used at below 50 percent capacity

Tripp Lite, a world leading manufacturer of power protection and connectivity equipment, has announced the launch of its SmartOnline hotswap Parallel UPS Systems in the Middle East. The main aim of the new UPS series is to provide regional customers with 12, 16 and 20kVA single-phase UPS systems in 230V that support hot-swappable whole UPS replacement in the standard configuration at full capacity. These models have a high power factor of 0.9, which allows increased capacity of operation in terms of power usage. The new range, which includes10 models, also offers enhanced reliability N+1 configurations when used at below 50 percent capacity, as provided by the detachable PDU that combines the output of two separate individually hot-swappable UPS systems.

The nine models are available at 12kVA capacity (SU12KRT4UHW), 16kVA capacity (SU16KRT, SU16KRT-1TF, SU16KRTG and SU16KRTHW) and 20kVA capacity (SU20KRT, SU20KRT-1TF, SU20KRTG and SU20KRTHW), and provide true on-line, double-conversion operation with pure sine wave output and zero transfer time. They also incorporate an optional 'Economy Mode,' which significantly reduces BTU heat output and operating energy costs. In addition, they include an HID-enabled USB port, a DB9 serial port, an SNMP/Web interface and PowerAlert software as well as optional external battery packs that significantly expand runtime.

"Understanding the vital importance of business continuity in the region, our SmartOnline Hotswap Parallel UPS Systems provide uninterrupted power to mission-critical connected equipment, making it ideal for many organizations in the Middle East," said Vipin Sharma, VP of EEMEA Sales, Tripp Lite. "We have also developed the new range to provide high-level power protection minus the need for a large amount of rack space, which will address the concern of many regional businesses pertaining to limited floor area. Most importantly, our innovative new range allows for extreme operating efficiency, thus reducing total cost of ownership."

The SmartOnline Hotswap Parallel UPS Systems offer a higher power factor, thereby resulting in increased watt capacity for the UPS. Offering the highest value and return on investment for companies in the Middle East, the system offers single-phase capacities in either a 12K, 16K, or 20KVA system and supports N+1 redundancy for load capacities below 50 per cent - providing the highest value and return on investment for companies in the Middle East. Shortly following the launch, Tripp Lite reported that it is witnessing a significant demand for the new product in the region, especially from major industries that require uninterrupted power such as the banking, medical and telecommunication sectors.

"Going beyond manufacturing and selling technologically-advanced UPS systems, we are committed to delivering the solutions that are required to ensure the efficiency of datacenters and networking centers through our specialist teams. Our focus on delivering integrated solutions is in line with the business ethos of providing value-added services to our clients as a strategy to gain further success in the market," concluded Sharma.
