TricorBraun Names New Chief Information Officer


St. Louis, Mo- G. Douglas Bolen has been named chief information officer of TricorBraun, one of North America's largest providers of jars, bottles and other rigid packaging components.

"Doug shall be responsible for overseeing and broadening technology's role in TricorBraun's strategic plan. As the company prepares to cross the $1 billion sales threshold, we shall continue to expand our commitment to the use of information technology as a tool to continue to provide exceptional service to our customers and distinguish our company from others in our industry," according to Keith J. Strope, company president and chief executive officer.

Mr. Bolen joined TricorBraun as the firm's vice president of technology in 2009.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Bolen had been the director of business applications for Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation.

Mr. Bolen received a Master of Science degree in Information Management from Lindenwood University in 2005, and he graduated from Webster University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995.
