TRFA Webinar: What to Expect in New EPA Chemical Data Reporting Rule
Glen Ellyn, IL- The Thermoset Resin Manufacturers Association (TRFA) is pleased to announce an important new webinar offering industry leaders a timely look at "What to Expect in the New EPA Chemical Data Reporting Rule (formerly IUR)," presented by Thomas G. Grumbles, CIH, Senior Consultant, Product Safety and Compliance, Cardno ENTRIX. This important industry education event is scheduled for Thursday, December 15, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon EST. On August 2, 2011, the EPA announced it is amending the reporting requirements of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Inventory Update Reporting (IUR) rule and changing its name to the Chemical Data Reporting (CDR) rule. The new rule raises the bar for chemical information reporting under TSCA, and will create some formidable compliance challenges for businesses subject to its provisions. Those who must comply with this new ruling include chemical substance manufacturers and importers and chemical substance users and processors who manufacture a byproduct chemical substance. This webinar will provide an overview of the new rule, highlight some of the rule's more nuanced provisions, and offer some guidance on how best to respond to it.
EPA's significant amendment to TSCA involves changes to 2012 reporting, 2016 reporting and future reporting cycles. The method of reporting and reporting thresholds have changed, information to be reported has increased and some definitions impacting overall obligations have been modified or added.

Webinar presenter, Thomas Grumbles, is a Senior Consultant with Cardno ENTRIX where he assists clients meet their CDR Reporting as well as other regulatory requirements in the US and around the world. He has over 30 years experience in industrial hygiene and product safety compliance in the chemical industry including industrial and surfactant chemical businesses. He has led the implementation of global product stewardship programs and REACH compliance efforts for the Global Olefins and Surfactants business of Sasol. He also led compliance efforts with chemical regulations in North America under the US Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), state regulations such as California Proposition 65 and multiple Global Chemical regulatory schemes.
