Transhield Helps Provide Disaster Shelters to Japan

Elkhart, IN - Transhield, Inc., in partnership with Dr. Shrink, Inc., donated 50 disaster shelters to the survivors of the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan. These 8' x 10' shelters are lightweight and feature a waterproof floor and four screened windows. The frame is made of PVC piping and no tools are required for assembly.

The shelter covers are made of sewn Transhield Shrinkable Fabric(TM) and non-woven fabric liner and were sewn by Transhield, while Dr. Shrink worked with Camcar Plastics Inc. to design and assemble the frame. The companies also hope to send 50 shelters to Alabama.

Transhield, Inc. is a patented alternative to packaging and protecting products from numerous elements during shipping and storage. Custom-fit, Shrinkable Fabric(TM) covers protect products within military, industrial, marine dealer and OEM, windpower, aerospace, railroad and other industries.
