Transcat Expands Life Science Market Presence with Calibration Technologies Acquisition
ROCHESTER, NY – Transcat, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRNS) (“Transcat” or the “Company”), a leading provider of accredited calibration and compliance services and distributor of professional grade handheld test, measurement and control instrumentation, announced today that it has acquired, effective June 22, 2015, Calibration Technologies, Inc. ("Calibration Technologies").
Headquartered in Morris Plains, New Jersey, Calibration Technologies specializes in analytical instrument services, including qualification, validation, calibration and repair, along with sales and installation of refurbished equipment and GMP training. Lou Samara, President of Calibration Technologies, will remain with Transcat.
