Toyota Names Brett Wood Vice President of Marketing, Product Planning, Dealer Development


IRVINE, Calif., (February 13, 2006) - Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A., Inc. (TMHU) announced Brett Wood has been named vice president of marketing, product planning and dealer development. The appointment was effective January 1, 2006.

"Brett has been instrumental in helping TMHU attain and grow its leadership position," said Shankar Basu, president and CEO of TMHU. "He consistently ensures we have the right products, strategy and marketing efforts to propel us forward in the marketplace."

In his new position, Wood will be responsible for all aspects of product and strategic planning, marketing, dealer development and market representation Wood, who has been with TMHU for 16 years, most recently served as national product development, strategic planning and marketing services manager.

Wood is actively involved in several trade organizations. He is a member of Modern Materials Handling's Editorial Advisory Board and the Electric Power Research Institute's Industry Advisory Council. He also is the first individual from Toyota to have served as chairman of the engineering committee for the Industrial Truck Association (ITA).

Wood received a mechanical engineering degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. He and his wife, Jamie, reside in Manhattan Beach, Calif., with their daughter, Madison.
