Top Quality Tool Holding

HAIMER, German market leader and international leader in tool holding, will be presenting the latest developments in the sector of high-precision tool holders and practical shrink and balancing machines at the IMTS 2010 in Chicago. On request Haimer as a system partner will now even take over the complete design of working stations or tool rooms used for the tool clamping and presetting.

Taking part in the IMTS 2010 is a tradition for Haimer, the globally active family run company from Germany. After all it has had a sales and service subsidiary in Chicago, Illinois since 2002 that ensures direct presence in the major and important North American market.

One highlight at the booth will be the patented Safe-Lock system, a pull-out protection for cutting tools that unifies the highest runout accuracy and 100% process security by locking the cutting tool in the holder like a seat belt. It ensures optimum process reliability, longer tool life and higher productivity - especially where demanding high performance cutting (HPC) is concerned. In the meantime the first American cutting tool manufacturers have already acquired the Safe-Lock license for their brands. These include Helical, Brubaker, Data Flute, Fastcut and Weldon. Also further negotiations are nearly concluded with other major global cutting tool manufacturers.

Haimer tool holders with a Polygon Capto interface are another brand new product that will be at the show. For the very first time Haimer will be presenting the new HAIMER CAPTO(TM) shrink-fit chuck, that is available in five different lengths as well as HAIMER CAPTO(TM) ER collet chucks, Weldon and face mill arbors. In order to ensure the best and original quality for these polygon couplings Haimer has officially concluded a Know How and Trademark license agreement with Sandvik Coromant.

The Power Clamp Premium shrink fit device series from Haimer has now undergone fine tuning. In Chicago, Haimer, the leading shrink-fit specialist, will be presenting its latest program, which ranges from an economical basic version with one coil and manually operated cooling elements right through to a fully-automated Premium Plus version with two coils, two separate length adjustment devices and two cooling elements. Additionally, a brand new cooling solution for shrink fit machines will be on show.

Recently Haimer has become a full system partner offering a complete logistic solution encompassing all aspects of tool clamping and presetting. On request Haimer takes over the planning of work stations or tool rooms and supplies the complete hardware - from workbenches and system cabinets to shrink-fit, balancing and presetting devices. The essential elements of such a work station will be setup in the booth, where they will be used for practical demonstration purposes.

You will find Haimer in booth W-1779-04 at the IMTS 2010.
