Tom Hammond Promoted to Cheese Industry Executive at Hayssen Packaging Technologies


DUNCAN, S.C. - March 1, 2006 - Hayssen Packaging Technologies, a form/fill/seal technology and services leader for more than 90 years, announces the promotion of Tom Hammond to the newly created position of Cheese Industry Executive.

developments in the ever-expanding cheese industry," explained Mike May, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. As the newest member of Hayssen's Industry Managerial Team,
Hammond will work through the company's sales force and agents, increasing his role as a key player in the development of:
o Shredded cheese product lines with integrated zipper units, small and large bag systems

o Wider range wrappers for the cheese industry; systems that include infeeds, zipper units and wrappers with a single control and speed variable by product backlog

o New innovations and services to expand Hayssen's presence in the market
With more than 30 years of industry experience, Hammond began his career with Hayssen as a
parts expeditor. He was later appointed to the role of sales administrator and then promoted to sales executive. Hammond has had the opportunity to be involved with several business
improvement initiatives, including twin lane wrappers and veltron infeeds. "My focus will be to continue Hayssen's leadership in the cheese packaging industry and deliver exceptional service to our customers," Hammond said.
