TIA Announces Addition of Workers Compensation Insurance Member Benefit

Bowie, MD - The Tire Industry Association (TIA), one of the leading global authorities on tires, today announced that they have partnered with Federated Insurance to offer their members access to affordable and comprehensive workers' compensation insurance. TIA members interested in more information and a quote can visit TIA's booth (# 40059) at the Global Tire Expo - Powered by TIA/SEMA Show, or they can visit TIA's Web site, www.tireindustry.org, or call 800.533.0472.

Federated is rated A+ by AM Best, and their mutual company structure allows them to maintain a steady focus on their principal stakeholders - their clients. This commitment has lead to the development of many value-added products and services that will help TIA members control their losses and lower their insurance premiums. Since 2009, Federated Insurance has been recommended by TIA for their Tire Dealer Shield property and casualty insurance program designed specifically for tire dealers.

Federated has a track record of partnering with clients to develop effective risk management teams. Federated can assist TIA members with implementing programs such as return-to-work/light-duty, drug- and alcohol-free workplace and enrollment in managed care networks. By complementing an aggressive risk management strategy with Federated's workers' compensation products, TIA members can position their business to reduce their workers' compensation premiums.

Federated is also making available their Workers Compensation Self-Insured Retention program for TIA members. Federated's Self-Insured Retention Program is an ideal tool for businesses that have effective risk management programs in place to help prevent and reduce losses. When implemented in coordination with a TIA member's risk management plan, this new program is an effective way to give them more control over their workers compensation insurance costs.

"TIA is proud to expand our strong relationship with Federated by now offering our members access to quality, affordable workers' compensation insurance. TIA members have access to exclusive money-saving programs, discounts on training, and more, making TIA membership a value and not an expense," said TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield.

About TIA:

TIA is an international association representing all segments of the tire industry, including those that manufacture, repair, recycle, sell, service or use new or retreaded tires, and also those suppliers or individuals who furnish equipment, material or services to the industry. The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has a history that spans more than 80 years and includes several name changes. Originally known as the National Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association (NTDRA), the organization gave birth over the years to the American Retreaders Association (ARA) and the Tire Association of North America (TANA). ARA changed its name to the International Tire & Rubber Association (ITRA) and merged with TANA in 2002 to form the current Tire Industry Association (TIA), which now represents every interest in the tire industry.
