ThyssenKrupp Safway Announces Motorized Division
WAUKESHA, Wis. - April 6, 2009 - ThyssenKrupp Safway announces the creation of a Motorized Division devoted to providing customers specialized support for its suspended and ground-based vertical access product lines.
The Motorized Division has helped broaden the availability of ground-based products for nationwide use in commercial and industrial markets. Suspended and Ground-based segments include all specialty vertical access products such as Power Swing Stages, Mast Climbers, Material and Personnel Hoists, and Transport Platforms.
The expansion of ThyssenKrupp Safway's motorized product mix offers its customers advanced project support through its vast network of branches. To better serve clients, regional distribution centers are planned with convenient locations near Scotia, N.Y., Atlanta, Ga., and Portland, Ore.
"A Motorized Division will offer our customers widespread assistance in engineering, safety, training and construction services for the extensive variety of vertical access applications associated with the industry," said John Callahan, manager of the Motorized Products Division. "This division, along with our extensive branch network and other specialized divisions, will allow ThyssenKrupp Safway to be a total service provider in all vertical access applications."
Prior to his appointment, Callahan was the Branch Manager in Boston. Before his employment with ThyssenKrupp Safway, Callahan held regional and project management positions throughout his 23 years in the construction industry.
