Thermal Product Solutions Ships Gruenberg Modular Oven to the Consumer Products Industry
October 7, 2017 - Thermal Product Solutions (TPS), a global manufacturer of thermal-processing equipment and environmental test chambers, announced the shipment of a Gruenberg modular oven to a supplier of consumer products. The modular oven is a duplicate to a previous order and will be used in the manufacturing of disposable cups.
This Gruenberg modular oven has a maximum temperature rating of 450⁰ F and work chamber dimensions of 36” W x 66” D x 16” H. The Gruenberg oven is comprised of five oven modules, constructed from a structural steel frame that supports the chamber liner and the exterior sheet metal. All interconnecting struts are non-continuous which keeps the exterior cool.
A vertical down airflow heat system was utilized on the conveyor oven to maximize heating rates and temperature uniformity of the product load. A total of ten circulation fans with variable frequency drives, two per module, are located in a conditioning plenum chamber near the top of the modules. These fans direct air down through an air diffusor panel to flow down around the product. The air exits the work chamber at the floor of the chamber and then flows up each side duct wall back to the heaters for reheating and recirculation.
