Thermadyne Appoints Three to Automation Business Manager Positions


St. Louis, Mo. (March 31, 2008)- Thermadyne Industries, Inc., a global leader in cutting and welding products, is pleased to announce the appointments of Charlie Fischer, Mark Powers and Barry McCarter to the position of Automation Business Manager.

Charlie Fischer resides in Beverly Hills, Mich., and will be responsible for covering the states of Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Fischer has worked in the welding industry for over 30 years with an extensive background in robotics. Fisher's business experiences include founding and owning his own welding distributorships

Mark Powers of Merrill, Wis., will be responsible for the region covering North and South Dakota, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. Powers has 20 years of experience in the industry including working with companies such as OTC Daihen, Tregaskiss and Tier One automotive manufacturers. Powers has received GMAW and SMAW certification from the Canadian Welding Board and CWI certification through the AWS.

Barry McCarter will become Automation Business Manager for the states of Oklahoma and Texas. McCarter has extensive background in the industry having held numerous positions such as Automation Sales Specialist, Sr. Tool Design Engineer, Project Manager, Sr. Designer, and Liaison Engineer for multiple companies. McCarter will work from Houston, Texas.
