The City of Oakland Selects Auto Plus Towing and Omadi Mobile Management to Streamline the Towing Process of the City

SILICON SLOPES, Utah – Today Omadi announced that Auto Plus Towing (APT) has selected their towing software platform to manage the dispatching and towing process for any police call in Oakland, California. The City of Oakland selected APT and Omadi in order to minimize response times, get traffic moving sooner and to improve the safety of officers, towers and citizens.

Through the Omadi Mobile app, Oakland City police officers will be able to dispatch the nearest APT tower to the scene of an accident. Omadi's geo-fencing and GPS capabilities will allow the nearest tower to make it to the scene as efficiently as possible. The City of Oakland wanted an automated towing process that included voiceless dispatching, which led to APT's search for a solution. After looking at and demoing multiple solutions, APT selected Omadi. "We are happy to be using Omadi's groundbreaking software platform to streamline our towing process. Omadi offered the technology that we were looking for and their configurability and efficiency will allow us to provide a superior service to the City of Oakland," said Sean Rawlins, Owner of Auto Plus Towing.

Through Omadi software, police officers will be able to have real time communication with APT towers as well as document pictures and other evidence of wrecks via the mobile app. Officers will spend less time requesting a tow using Omadi's automatic dispatching, and no longer tie up the time of city dispatchers for non emergency calls. In addition, Omadi will help eliminate unnecessary paperwork through digital tow tickets and automated processes. Omadi's ability to streamline the towing process and reduce response times will allow for improved safety for everyone near the tow scene.

"We are excited to provide our service to APT and the City of Oakland. This partnership further demonstrates the power of our revolutionary software platform to provide efficiency to our clients," said Charles Lukens, CEO of Omadi Inc. It's anticipated that Omadi will facilitate over 11,000 tows a year for APT and the City of Oakland. Omadi and APT will also provide a free roadside assistance service for any city vehicle.
