The City of Dallas Selects Tyler Technologies' Municipal Court Case Management Solution

Tyler's Incode® court case management suite to replace multiple court case management applications at Dallas municipal court

DALLAS - Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) today announced that the City of Dallas has selected its Incode® municipal court case management system to fully integrate the City's municipal court functions into one solution. Tyler's court software solution will replace multiple vendor and in-house mainframe applications at Dallas to manage all aspects of a case lifecycle in the municipal court.

Incode will support the court's transition to a paperless environment while improving process automation and the storage of digital information. Using Incode, the Dallas Courts & Detention Services, Office of the City Attorney, and police department will be able to share information on one system, including data on jury subpoenas, Web-enabled citation inquiries, and court docket schedules. Additionally, the municipal court will benefit from Incode's integrated financial and collection application, which makes payment processing easy to manage within the system and provides enhanced customer service capabilities.

"Tyler was the most advantageous of seven vendors that made proposals to the city. Incode can be configured to meet changing business requirements without custom programming, and is scalable to meet fluctuations in volumes," said Jill Jordan, Dallas Assistant City Manager. "The new system will deliver improved capabilities that will greatly enhance the ability of the Court and Detention Services and Community Courts to manage approximately 500,000 violations issued annually, while supporting the City's move to a more paperless environment."

The contract between Tyler and the City of Dallas includes software licensing fees, professional services and a multi-year maintenance agreement that includes all software updates for product enhancements and future state or federally legislated mandates during the maintenance period.

"Tyler has proven its ability to solve the challenges court systems face throughout the United States by providing integrated and flexible solutions to manage all aspects of a case and innovative online court services to citizens," said Brett Cate, president of Tyler's Local Government Division. "The City of Dallas and its citizens will benefit from Incode with a reduction in paper-driven processes, faster adjudication services, and real-time courtroom information. We're happy Dallas is joining our Texas family of more than 400 Incode municipal court clients and 750 municipal court clients nationwide."

Dallas is the ninth most populous city in the United States, and the third most populous city in Texas.
