The Canva Group is Proud to Announce The Acquisition of Enseignes CMD of Brossard, Quebec

Montreal, May 4, 2022 - This leader in the architectural signage market, founded in 1996, has approximately 20 employees.

Enseignes CMD (www.cmdsign.com) has a significant business base and has been involved in major architectural signage projects such as the new Maison Radio-Canada, the CHUM, the Montreal Insectarium and many others, including the new REM.

According to René-Pierre Roussel, CEO of Canva Group (www.groupecanva.com), "this acquisition will increase our expertise and provide capacity in the growing architectural signage market." The signage portion of our Idenco business unit in Boucherville will be consolidated at CMD to create a large pole of expertise in pursuing the institutional, commercial and construction markets. Idenco will be able to refocus on metal plate identification, its primary specialty.

With its strong presence with major retail chains, the Canva Group will also be able to offer its customers a complete line of directional signage, a fast-growing segment, and all its other identification and visual communication products.

Érik Grandjean, departing owner of Enseignes CMD, will remain in place for the medium term to ensure an effective transition. "For me, it was imperative to find a strategic partner that would maintain the team and the business while accelerating its growth in the future. Canva Group fits that bill perfectly," he says.
