Texas Hydraulics to Display Hydraulic Cylinders, Friction Welding Techniques at IFPE CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011

Temple, TX - Texas Hydraulics, Inc., a leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of hydraulic cylinders, announces it will showcase its Position Sensing Hydraulic Cylinders, Construction Grade Cylinders and friction welding capabilities in Booth #13457 at IFPE CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011. The show, which brings together a wide variety of leaders from the construction industry, will be held from March 22-26, 2011, in Las Vegas, NV.

Position Sensing Hydraulic Cylinders are ideal for applications that require a high level of accuracy and repeatability. Designed to meet the construction industries demands of extreme pressure, temperature, vibration, shock and contamination, Position Sensing Hydraulic Cylinders offer high performance contact-less sensing. Position Sensing Hydraulic Cylinders are capable of handling operating pressures up to 5,000 psi.

Texas Hydraulics' Construction Grade cylinders feature a high cycle fatigue resistance design utilizing forged end mounts, high performance sealing, and induction-hardened rods. The bolted head design allows for easier serviceability, and the buffer seals help to extend rod seal life. Texas Hydraulics' Construction Grade cylinders can be customized with a variety of options, including position sensing, valve integration, nickel plating for increased corrosion resistance, and induction hardened rods.

Texas Hydraulics manufactures all of its Construction Grade hydraulic cylinders by utilizing a state-of-the-art friction welder, which helps to provide hydraulic cylinder solutions for its customers through leading manufacturing technology. Friction welding is a class of solid-state welding processes that generates heat through mechanical friction between a moving workpiece and a stationary component, with the addition of a lateral force called "upset" to plastically displace and fuse the materials. Through this process, Texas Hydraulics is able to manufacture any cylinder to have the durability needed in severe applications. Texas Hydraulics' expertise in friction welding has led to advances in cylinder capabilities and functionality, with all weld designs continuing to meet AWS D1.1 structural welding codes. All weld engineers at Texas Hydraulics are put through "weld training" to ensure standardization and continuity throughout the welding process.
