On April 7, 2006, the final papers were signed, selling the assets of Tenaxol, Inc. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Mr. Jim Athans, owner of Chemtool Incorporated of Crystal Lake, Illinois. Representing Tenaxol in the agreement was Mr. Larry Jarvis, the company's president. The new company will be named Tenaxol Technologies, Inc. and will continue to operate at the present location in Milwaukee. Mr. Jarvis will remain with the company.

Tenaxol pioneered polymer quenchants for the heat treating industry almost 50 years ago, under the leadership of founder Ross Blackwood. The company's products, sold under the UCON® label, are marketed worldwide to commercial and captive heat treaters. Owing to their unique chemistry and performance properties, polymer quenchants are the safe alternative to oil quenching and they yield a better end product than water and all other quenching techniques for the majority of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

Chemtool is a leader in the formulation and supply of various lubricants, cleaning agents, cutting fluids, adhesives and other solutions for diverse industrial applications.

Tenaxol corporate and field sales personnel will remain in service to the company's many customers.
