Telco Systems Acquires IP-DSLAM Technology
FOXBORO, MASSACHUSETTS (September 20, 2006) -- Telco Systems, a provider of carrier-class transport and access solutions for public and private IP and TDM networks, today announced that it has acquired the assets of Critical Telecom Corp. , a developer of broadband enabling platforms for IP-based access networks.

"The product extends Telco Systems market reach into DSL-connected neighborhoods with an IP-based solution that enables providers to expand their customer base and portfolio of next generation applications."
Critical Telecom's GEmini is purpose-built for the outside plant and is the only Ethernet remote DSLAM providing integrated GigE backhaul with a modular port scalability architecture. GEmini leverages the existing copper infrastructure to deliver fiber-quality services at the lowest total cost of deployment. GEmini delivers non-blocking ADSL2+, enabling applications such as VoIP, high-speed Internet access, triple play and IPTV.
