TCA Technologies Completes Contract for GM Volt Program

Guelph, ON, Canada - TCA Technologies Inc. announced that it has completed a major contract to design and supply a component manufacturing and testing system for Dana Holding Corporation, a Tier One supplier to the Chevrolet Volt program.

Dana is supplying its Long® internal battery cell coolers on the first advanced lithium-ion battery for a mass-marketed electric vehicle - General Motors Company's Chevrolet Volt. TCA was awarded the contract by Dana to design and supply a high-throughput system that would accept the Dana battery cell cooler components, perform additional assembly functions and subject 100% of the components to performance and quality testing. Due to the high volume of components to be processed, TCA chose to develop a system that incorporated robotic part handling.
