T.M. Smith Tool International Corporation Appoints Tom Wagner Manager of Engineering


The appointment of Tom Wagner as manager of engineering for T.M. Smith Tool International Corporation is announced by Jerry Norton, T.M. Smith Tool International president.

Mr. Wagner comes to T.M. Smith with over 30 years of broad tooling design engineering experience from Cross-Hüller, Utica Enterprises and the former Cross Company. As an experienced machine and tooling designer, Mr. Wagner has spent time as a design engineer, CAD designer, detailer and checker. He and his family reside in Port Huron, Michigan.

In announcing the appointment, Jerry Norton, says, "Tom Wagner has the type of manufacturing and design capabilities that will be valuable in helping T.M. Smith move forward with our continuous improvement programs in our manufacturing processing as well as product design. In his new position as engineering manager, Tom will direct the tool engineering and product development departments as well as provide engineering management support in the field.

T.M. Smith Tool International Corporation was founded in the 1957. It is a leader in the design and manufacture of quick-change tool holders for drilling, reaming and tapping. Over time, it has become well known, particularly in the worldwide automotive industry, for quality and innovative design and engineering. The company currently holds over 60 U.S. and international patents in tool holding technology.
