T&D Corp. Develops Improved External Power Adapter

CHESTERLAND OH—In order to reduce internal noise and improve the stability of the T&D 500 Series loggers during operation, T&D Corporation has redesigned the RTR-500A1 External Power Adapter. The old model has been discontinued and replaced by the new RTR-500A2 version with no change to the unit price. CAS DataLoggers supplies T&D products to businesses and organizations in every industry including cold chain monitoring of Food & Beverages, Logistics & Shipping, industrial Manufacturing & Processing applications and more.

A side effect of the new external power adapter is that the RTR-500A2 version generates more internal heat than previously, and therefore we cannot recommend it for use with the RTR-501 Wireless Temperature Datalogger. Using the new adapter for the RTR-501 datalogger, with its internal temperature sensor, will result in an elevated reading error of 2 ~ 3 degrees Celcius. However, RTR-501 users who do not want to replace the battery as often can opt for the RTR-501L model. T&D’s L-type models are designed with a large-capacity battery pack with a battery life four times longer than that of the standard type.
