Symlabs Reports Increased Sales, New Technologies

Focus on technology for performance, security, flexibility gets approval from customers

CHICAGO, Dec. 21, 2010 - Symlabs, a global leader in identity management, is pleased to bring this year to a close by reporting a strong increase in sales plus the development of new technologies that will appear in product releases early next year. The importance of the Kerberos protocol to business infrastructures has grown rapidly, driven to a large extent by its role in Microsoft Active Directory authentication, so Symlabs has developed technology that incorporates the Kerberos Service-For-User extensions into their virtual directory and LDAP proxy products.

Service-For-User extensions have recently been added to MIT's open source Kerberos library, and are also supported by Microsoft server products. The implementation of this technology by Symlabs delivers the benefits of increased security and flexibility for connections to an Active Directory from the entire infrastructure that is served by Symlabs Virtual Directory Server or Symlabs LDAP Proxy. In addition, Symlabs has also developed new input/output technology and other performance improvements aimed at making their products the most capable partners in the market for an Active Directory environment.

"It's hard to find any business today that doesn't depend heavily on its directory infrastructure," said Symlabs CEO Antonio Navarro, "and the new features we're adding deliver even more power and ease-of-use to make Symlabs Virtual Directory Server and Symlabs LDAP Proxy an easy choice as the best solutions to keep it running reliably at top speed and extend it to more applications."

The reception of the marketplace to Symlabs' product focus during the past year has been very positive, demonstrated by a healthy trend of continually rising sales and the loyalty of many new clients from the ranks of industry leaders. According to Jeff Zukowski, Partner and Director of Marketing for Symlabs, "Our creative team and innovative products have been a winning combination for us this year, and the sustained growth in our sales gives us a lot of momentum to carry into 2011. With new product versions right around the corner, we can't wait to start another year of satisfying new clients and serving our current ones."

New versions of Symlabs Virtual Directory Server and Symlabs LDAP Proxy that incorporate these security and performance technologies are planned for release early in the first quarter of next year to support Symlabs' goal of delivering identity management products that offer industry-leading speed, the highest reliability, plus the ability to securely solve a wide variety of data access and management problems in Active Directory environments along with a multitude of other repositories, formats, and protocols.
