SupplyCore Inc. and MARRV Partnership

ROCKFORD, Ill., March 8 -- SupplyCore Inc., a leading defense contractor based in Rockford, IL, announced today that it has come to an agreement to acquire the operating assets of the Manufacturing Alliance of the Rock River Valley (MARRV). MARRV, originally established as a non-profit organization in 2004, is a members-based network of manufacturing and fabricating companies in the greater Northern Illinois region. It was created to promote the capabilities of the area's manufacturing base to potential customers outside of the region through the support of flexible manufacturing networks.

"Rockford has a strong, diverse, and very talented manufacturing community," stated Peter Provenzano, CEO of SupplyCore Inc. "We feel that by incorporating MARRV into SupplyCore we will be able to showcase their skill and their capabilities to potential customers worldwide with a focus on Department of Defense and original equipment manufacturers. This will allow the vision behind MARRV to go forward and to increase its reach, with the goal of bringing more manufacturing projects back to the Rockford region."

"I believe today's announcement will enhance MARRV's mission to bring together local manufacturers to pursue large contracts and create jobs for northern Illinois workers," said Congressman Don Manzullo (R-IL). "SupplyCore has the expertise and resources to help our local companies pursue and manage large government and commercial contracts. I congratulate the Board of MARRV and SupplyCore for taking this initiative to the next level."
