Suncor Stainless Inc. Adds Strength to Their Line of Swivels
Introducing the New Forged Stainless Steel Swivel Series, Manufactured in Accordance with Federal Specifications
Plymouth, MA – Suncor Stainless, Inc. has developed a new line of forged swivels. Many of these swivels meet Federal Specification RR-C-271F Type VII (except 316 stainless steel). Suncor has expanded their line of swivels to offer added strength while still featuring corrosion resistance and durability to industrial and marine rigging applications.
Suncor’s Research and Development Team has tirelessly designed and tested these swivels in order to perfect the strength, durability and effectiveness before bringing them to market. “Currently there are no swivels featuring the strength offered by a forging process with the corrosion resistance of stainless steel,” says Patrick Striebel, President of Suncor Stainless. “We felt as though we could provide closure to this gap in the market by manufacturing a line of stainless steel forged swivels in accordance with Fed. Specs.” Suncor also offers standard and heavy duty cast swivels in a variety of configurations. They have now added 23 new swivels to their already expansive line.
Suncor’s forged swivels are ideal for lifting or rigging applications where twists in chain, wire rope or fibrous rope are unwanted. These swivels are used to relieve stress caused by twisting and knotting while being pulled taut. Sizes range from 3/16” to 5/8” and they are made from grade 316 stainless steel for maximum corrosion resistance and durability. They can also support loads up to 5,200 lbs. and feature multiple configuration, including jaw/eye (S0155-FS series), eye/eye (S0128-FS series), chain/eye (S0128-FX series), and jaw/jaw (S0156-FS series) to fit every applications. These products are positioning devices and are not intended to swivel or rotate under load.
