Sunbelt Rentals Completes Acquisition of NationsRent
CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Sept. 1, 2006--Sunbelt Rentals, Inc., one of the leading US equipment rental companies serving the commercial construction and industrial markets, today announced the completion of the acquisition by merger of NationsRent Companies, Inc.
The acquisition, valued at over $1 billion, of NationsRent by Sunbelt Rentals forms the third largest equipment rental provider in the US rental market. The combined company will continue to deliver exceptional customer service from over 470 locations, including the convenience of homeowner and contractor services at 100 NationsRent At Lowe's locations, over $2 billion in rental fleet, new and used equipment sales, maintenance and repair services for customer-owned equipment, 24-hour emergency service, and the Sunbelt Rentals Guarantee.
