Sun Microsystems to Acquire Assets from SavaJe Technologies

SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 12 -- Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ:SUNW) and SavaJe Technologies today announced that the two companies have entered into a definitive agreement pursuant to which Sun will acquire SavaJe's intellectual property assets. Additional information regarding the acquisition of these assets will be unveiled at the annual JavaOne Conference being held in San Francisco, May 8-11, 2007. The terms of the deal were not disclosed as the transaction is immaterial to Sun's earnings per share.
