Summit Appliance Refrigerators Recognized for ENERGY STAR® Most Efficient 2019

Seven Refrigerator-Freezers Receive Recognition For Energy Efficiency

Bronx, NY—ENERGY STAR has recognized Summit Appliance as among the most efficient refrigerators for 2019. To become ENERGY STAR qualified the product must be rated by the DOE to perform with more efficiency than what federal standards require, saving on the unit’s energy and utility costs. Summit Appliance offers an extensive collection of ENERGY STAR efficient refrigerator and freezer options.

“We are honored to have numerous refrigerators recognized as ENERGY STAR Most Efficient for 2019,” says Paul Storch, CEO of FSI. “We design many different refrigerators to fit the style, color and size that not only appeal to our customers but follow energy-saving guidelines.”

The criteria to allow for greater recognition of the significant energy savings with top freezer models were adjusted by the EPA. The average ENERGY STAR top freezer model consumes about 375 kWh/year, while standard models consume about 700 kWh/year. The criteria also includes that the product must be ENERGY STAR Certified and use less than or equal to 637 kWh/year.

The following refrigerators were recognized for 2016:

  • FF1084W
  • FF1085SS
  • FF1118W
  • FF1119B
  • FF1159SS
  • FF1386W
