Steinert Scrap Market VP Dennis Ciccotelli to Retire

WALTON, KY - Steinert US, a leading supplier of separation equipment for the scrap, waste, recycling, and mining markets, has announced the retirement of Dennis Ciccotelli, Scrap Market Vice President. Ciccotelli has worked with Steinert US since its inception in the United States and will officially retire on May 31, 2013.

This announcement comes as Dennis nears 50 years of dedicated service to the recycling industry. Among Ciccotelli's lengthy record of career achievements is his work with Steinert US. During his tenure with Steinert, Dennis was integral in aiding the company's growth from a resale entity with 3 employees to a full service corporation with over 30 employees.

Dennis began his career in 1964 as a crane and monorail engineer, following a career path that eventually led to positions as Operations Manager with Camden Iron & Metal, Inc. and then Resource Recycling, LLC. His position at Resource Recycling led him to represent Steinert GmbH in the United States before ultimately taking a position in the newly formed entity of Steinert US in 2003.

"During my time, I watched as the profit driven scrap industry grew into the recycling industry driven by the good of all mankind." Said Ciccotelli. "What was done by hand at a few pounds per hour is now accomplished by machines at a hundred tons or more per hour. Workers, no longer in harms way, monitor technology systems instead of picking and chopping at metals by hand. I am very proud to be a part of the development of recycling technology spanning my career of nearly 50 years."

"For many of our customers Steinert US is Dennis Ciccotelli." Said Steinert US President Jason Looman. "He has been a great leader, innovator, friend, and mentor to many in the industry. Dennis' dedication to Steinert and the industry is unparalleled and deserves our greatest of thanks."

Ciccotelli began the transition to retirement in January 2013 and will spend the remainder of his time at Steinert US in an ambassador/mentor role. Dennis has served as a mentor and market expert for many years and leaves the company in a position to continue his legacy with great success.

Steinert GmbH CEO Marcus Heinrich said "From the very beginning; Dennis supported Steinert's development in the North American Market. Over the years he helped to develop the understanding within the Steinert Group that the business is not only about one specific technology, it is about the best possible solution for our customers. Developing concepts for our clients, together with the application specialist around the world, became his strength. We thank Dennis for his outstanding achievements and fantastic support and we wish him all the best in his retirement."

In his retirement Dennis notes that his priorities will be "to be a better husband, father, grandfather, uncle, neighbor, citizen, human being, golfer, cook and gardener, (not necessarily in that order)."

On behalf of Steinert employees around the globe, congratulations on your retirement "Uncle Dennis".
