St. Marys Carbon receives Aerospace Certification
St. Marys Carbon recently received its AS9100 Aerospace Quality System Certification following an intense nine-month process.
As a global supplier and manufacturer of carbon and carbon-graphite, St. Marys Carbon now has the opportunity to work with aviation, space and defense organizations while having a positive impact to the community in the form of new, higher skilled jobs.
"Typically what this means for us is more jobs, more stability for the company," said James Slay, St. Marys Carbon, general manager and Chief Operating Officer.
The significance of the certification lies in the ability to secure government contracts which are typically long-term contracts involving chain suppliers.
