SPL moves strategic vision forward with the appointment of Roger Friedberger as Chief Financial Officer

London, September 25, 2005 - SPL WorldGroup, a leading provider of mission-critical software solutions for the global utility market, today announced the appointment of Roger Friedberger as chief financial officer. Friedberger comes to SPL with more than 30 years of experience as a senior financial executive, with strong international skills and experience in enterprise software.

Friedberger's background includes CFO positions of publicly traded and venture-backed multinational software companies. As CFO of ILOG (Nasdaq: ILOG), a leading provider of enterprise-class software components and services, he was responsible for the company's global finance and legal operations. At Insignia Solutions (Nasdaq: INSG) and Micro Focus, he also held the CFO position. He has led the IPOs and/or international market listings for all three companies. Most recently, Friedberger was CFO at MailFrontier, an email security company.
