Spirol Awarded Ford's Q1 Quality Award
Windsor, ON, Canada - On September 20, 2007 SPIROL Industries Ltd. was awarded Ford's highest award for Quality - the Q1 Award. This honorable award is used to distinguish Ford's preferred sources, and recognizes that SPIROL's quality systems exceeds the industry standard requirements.
Tom Buchta, President of SPIROL Industries Ltd., said, "In order for SPIROL Industries to receive Ford's Q1 Award, the entire team needed to be innovative and somewhat resilient to identify ways to apply the improvements noted in the Q1 process, business wide. The benefits identified early on in the process gave us the motivation to continue. Our staff was able to extract a few key tools, such as the MMOG survey, that highlighted areas where we could strengthen the Supply Chain process. SPIROL is a key supplier to the Powertrain Industry, and this Q1 certification is a distinguishing award amongst small component manufacturers. The fact that the process is continual gives some assurances that our systems are not only in place, but will continue to be reinforced and improved."
In addition to the Q1 Award, SPIROL Industries has also achieved the following Quality Certifications: ISO/TS 16949:2002; ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004.
