Spirax Sarco Expands and Rebrands MassTracker Insertion Turbine Mass Flowmeter to RIM10

Spirax Sarco announces the rebranding of the MassTracker Insertion Turbine Flowmeter to the RIM10 Rotor Insertion Flowmeter. This name change has been made due to the overwhelming demand for the MassTracker globally.

"As we continue to expand into new markets, we wanted a name that is easily recognizable around the world. We understand that MassTracker loyalists may have a hard time with the name change, but at the end of the day, we believe our customers will be supportive of the brand. What matters most is that the RIM10 will be exactly the same as the MassTracker, only the name will be the difference," said John Thompson, Marketing Product Manager for Spirax Sarco.

The RIM10 will provide the same great features and benefits as the MassTracker. This versatile instrument combines measurements of mass or volumetric flow, density, temperature and pressure in one instrument. Typical applications include flow monitoring of steam and natural gas for fiscal or load control, combustion air, flue gas for environmental compliance, heat content calculations for chilled water and measurement of a variety of other liquids in line sizes from 3 to 80 in. (75mm to 20000 mmm)

Hot-tappability makes possible installation and service without process shutdown. The RIM10 produces a negligible pressure drop, reducing energy and operation costs.

The RIM10 low-mass rotor design is fabricated from a single solid black of stainless steel, with no welded joints. There are six field-installable cartridges with different turbine pitches and NIST traceability. This field configuration versatility, plus a wide 25:1 turndown, enables the flowmeter to match flow rate precisely.

The RIM flow computer incorporates all the "smarts" in a single housing for calculating and transmitting a true, density-compensated mass flow single.
