Abstracts for Upcoming Plastic Pipe Conference Now Available - April 16 & 17 – Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania U.S.A. – April 2, 2019 - Presentations by industry professionals at the Society of Plastics Engineers - SPE - Plastic Pipe Conference will range from scientific white papers to the fundamentals of selecting the proper pipe. Abstracts of all 23 presentations are now available at the conference’s website www.4spe.org/pipe19. The Plastic Pipe in Infrastructure and Industrial Applications Conference will be held outside of Philadelphia, April 16 and 17, 2019 and is organized to focus on water, sewer and gas system applications plus new developments in areas such as composite plastic pipe.

“Reviewing the abstracts in advance will help attendees to plan their visit and take full advantage of the many different sessions plus the networking reception,” said Conference Chair, Jim Mason of Mason Materials Development, LLC (Wyomissing, PA). “For example, one talk will help specifying engineers navigate the maze of product offerings, in order to prevent selection of substandard pipe. Another session will cover technologies for high temperature fluids used in industrial plants, utilities plus industrial, commercial and residential construction, dispelling myths that only metals can do this. Also, there will be case history examples such as a complex sanitary sewer project that used HDPE to replace prestressed concrete cylinder pipe in order to contain raw sewage in a national park.”

Twenty-three presentations are scheduled during the two-day conference that includes continuing education content designed for civil, environmental, and mechanical engineers, and others who need Professional Development Hours (PDH) to keep their licenses and certifications.

Being held at the Philadelphia Marriott West (West Conshohocken, PA) the SPE Plastic Pipe Conference will also have two days of networking and exhibits.
