SPE Announces Honored Service Members and Fellows of the Society



CINCINNATI, OH - The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) announced today 15 new SPE
Honored Service Members and 5 Fellows-of-the-Society. The announcement was made at the
SPE-ANTEC conference. The annual technical conference is the leading technical forum for cutting-edge technological issues of the plastics industry and takes place May 6-10 at the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Honored Service Members
The Honored Service Members have demonstrated long-term, outstanding service to SPE and its objectives. The following 15 candidates were sponsored by the Board of Directors of at least one SPE Section or Division. Only 261 members, counting these inductees, have been elected to this prestigious status since it was established in 1992.

The Fellows of the Society
The Fellows of the Society have contributed to the field of plastics engineering, science or technology, or in the management of such activities. Nominated by an SPE Division, candidates for Fellow must be Senior Members of the Society for six years. The Fellow Election Committee considers eligible candidates on the basis of a personal history as well as written sponsorships from two SPE members. Only 257 members, counting these inductees, have been elected to this prestigious status since it was established in 1984.
