SPE to Partner with SPI in Marketing Exhibit Space and Sponsorships at ANTEC® 2010

Agreement Is Part of SPE Plan to Expand the Exhibit Portion of ANTEC by Drawing on the Capabilities of Experts in Trade Show Sales and Marketing

NEWTOWN, CT, U.S.A.: The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) and SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association have agreed to collaborate in the sales and marketing of exhibit space for next year's SPE ANTEC® 2010, the plastics associations announced today.

SPE expects that the partnership with SPI, combined with other measures to expand sales of booth space for ANTEC 2010, will result in a trade show with between 200 and 300 exhibiting companies, according to Lesley Kyle, SPE's senior event manager.

"Because ANTEC is the world's largest plastics technical conference, attracting 750 original, peer-reviewed presentations for its 2009 edition, it tends to overshadow the co-located trade show," said Kyle. "Yet in 2010 the exhibit portion of ANTEC will be the largest plastics trade show in the U.S., providing industry professionals with their best opportunity to inspect new equipment and instrumentation, discover new applications for plastics materials, and meet face-to-face with current and prospective suppliers."

Among the innovations that SPI is bringing to ANTEC is an online floor plan, available at www.npe.org/vr/shows/ANTEC2010/Start.html. The interactive plan enables prospective exhibitors to see which companies have already taken space and which space is still available.

"We are delighted to lend our trade show expertise and exhibit and sponsorship sales support to ANTEC 2010," said Gene Sanders, SPI senior vice president of trade shows. "SPE's co-location of ANTEC 2009 at our NPE2009 this past June was a tremendous success, and we are thrilled to build on the relationship by helping to make ANTEC a smart choice for companies seeking exhibition and sponsorship opportunities in 2010."

Also working with SPE on sales of ANTEC 2010 exhibit space is Wiley-Blackwell, which manages publication of SPE's Plastics Engineering magazine. "Wiley's reputation and expanding reach into the plastics industry and vertical markets align with our goals to make next year's ANTEC a must for global plastics professionals seeking the latest advances and solutions via presentations and contacts made on the tradeshow floor," notes Susan Oderwald, SPE's Executive Director.

The first contact for prospective exhibitors at ANTEC 2010 is Lesley Kyle, CMP, who can be reached by phone at +1 203-740-5452; or email at lskyle@4spe.org.

The 2010 edition of the annual SPE ANTEC will be held at the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, USA, May 16-20. For more information, visit the website at www.antec.ws.
