Spacer & Mounting Holes Create One-Piece Assembly

A customer came to us requesting an all-steel version of our DT linear guide. They also wanted to use our DT-4 double edge track (1045 steel), but with some unique alterations. The customer’s design involved the carriage mounted to a steel beam. However, that would require carefully drilling the beam in order to line up with the mounting holes of the double track.

Instead, we fixed a 1″ spacer to the bottom of our carriage, which allowed the customer to weld the assembly directly to the beam. This creates a more robust, one-piece assembly while also aiding in ease and speed of installation.

No machining was required to the steel beam, and no nuts were needed to hold the total assembly together.
