MILWAUKEE, Wis., — Two popular best-selling authors join an experienced lean practitioner and a recognized innovation strategist as keynote speakers at the ASQ Lean and Six Sigma Conference, March 2–3 in Phoenix.



Keynote speakers include best-selling authors Scott Christopher, who also is a consultant on strengthening work culture, and David Maxfield, a social scientist specializing in organizational change. Dan Florizone, president and CEO of Saskatoon Health Region, and John Timmerman, senior strategist in customer experience and innovation at Gallup Inc., also will keynote.

As vice president of speaking and training at The Culture Works and a consultant on strengthening work culture with recognition and fun, Christopher has circled the globe entertaining and motivating thousands of audiences from senior leader retreats to all-staff meetings.



He has appeared on NBC’s “Today Show,” Fox Business Channel, CNBC, National Public Radio, and the BBC.



Dan Florizone, President and CEO of Saskatoon Health Region — Monday, March 2, Afternoon Keynote

Dan Florizone is president and CEO of Saskatoon Health Region and has amassed 25 years of Saskatchewan health care experience.



Florizone has served as Saskatchewan Deputy Health Minister, CEO of the Five Hills Health Region, CEO for Moose Jaw-Thunder Creek Health District, CEO of South-East Health District, CEO of Canora-Invermay-Norquay, and CEO of Wilkie Union Hospital. His work surrounding patient- and family-centered care established the blueprint for provincial health care transformation, including the introduction of the lean-based Saskatchewan Health Care Management System.



Formerly Saskatchewan’s Deputy Minister of Education, Florizone also introduced lean management across education and government.



David Maxfield, Social Scientist Specializing in Organizational Change — Tuesday, March 3, Morning Keynote

John Timmerman, Ph.D., Gallup’s senior strategist in customer experience and innovation, is a renowned expert in creating outstanding customer experiences by building and integrating business cultures, systems, and technologies.

Prior to joining Gallup, he served as the vice president of operations and quality for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and most recently served as the global vice president of guest experience and rooms operations for Marriott’s portfolio of 18 brands and more than 3,700 hotels worldwide.



A recognized thought leader in the science of service, Timmerman has presented hundreds of lectures and consultations worldwide on designing customer-centric organizations across a diverse range of industries.
