911 Rescue Oxy-Fuel Steel Cutting Outfit

Smith Equipment engineered the 911 Rescue Outfit to be a "fast attack," rapid intervention rescue apparatus for fire and rescue professionals. Weighing only 160 lbs., the 911 Rescue Outfit is highly portable and its compact size (38" x 18" x 11") fits easily on most fire trucks. The 911 Rescue Outfit uses 40-cu. ft. acetylene and 80-cu. ft. oxygen tanks to allow for long cutting periods without refilling the cylinders. The quick release Pressure-Clamp assembly keeps the gas cylinders locked in place, even if the entire unit is inverted. For maximum operator safety, the 911 Rescue Outfit includes the Dual-Guard torch with a revolutionary flashback arrestor and a three-tube construction that keeps gases separate until they mix in the tip. The outfit also features a large pivoting lifting ring in case the unit needs to be hoisted to the rescue site. Lexan® Gauge Guards protect the regulators and gauges from damage for added safety.

The 911 Rescue Outfit comes standard with a Spring-Loaded Snap Open accessory box that has all items needed to operate the unit. The accessory box includes: a torch lighter, heavy-duty leather gloves, five cutting tips, cutting tip cleaner, a multi-wrench (for hoses, cylinders and tanks), cutting goggles (that fit over glasses), and Smith's 41-minute oxy-fuel safety and operations video. Smith offers its 911 Rescue Outfit for purchase through a large network of welding distributors.

Gas Axe Cutting Torch

For heavy-duty demolition and metal-scrapping applications, Smith Equipment offers the Gas Axe Cutting torch, which can use oxy-acetylene or alternate (LP) gases. The Gas Axe's extra high-flow gas capacity design allows the torch to cut metals up to 20-inches (508-mm) thick.

Its superior ease-on cutting oxygen reduces slag blow-back for added operator safety, while a three-tube construction keep gases separate until they reach the tip to increase operator safety. For operator comfort, the Gas Axe features an ergonomic handle design and a reversible cutting lever that can be mounted on the top or bottom of the unit. The Gas Axe uses a thick manganese bronze head to reduce warping from reflected heat in severe applications and durable soft seat cutting tips provide extended service and quick changeovers without tools.

Changeover Regulator and Manifold Systems

Smith is offering its premium high purity brass Changeover Regulators and Manifold Systems. Regulators have nickel plated bodies and easy-to-read 2.5-inch gauges. Smith's Changeover Regulator and Manifold Systems allow users to simultaneously connect two or more gas cylinders for quick changeovers without gas flow interruption. The Changeover Regulator and Manifold systems have an optional alarm that alerts users when a gas cylinder is nearing empty. Smith offers its Changeover Regulator and Manifold Systems in 0- to 40- psi or 0- to 125- psi outlet pressures, for a variety of oxy-fuel systems and applications. The product also includes a plated wall mount bracket for quick and easy installation.
