SME, STIQ and REAI Announce Strategic Partnership for Upcoming 3-in-1 Manufacturing Event



Toronto, Ont. — The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), Sous-Traitance Industrielle Quebec (STIQ) and Regroupement des Équipementiers en Automatisation Industrielle (REAI) have announced their strategic partnership to support Quebec manufacturing companies at an upcoming manufacturing event this April 23- 24 at Place Bonaventure in downtown Montreal.



The PMDS (Plant Management and Design Engineering Show) which will be co-located with the AmExpo (Advanced Manufacturing Expo) and Contrex (Contract Manufacturing Show) will feature approximately 80 companies exhibiting and showcasing ways to improve production processes and offer alternative solutions to enhance production.



“This collaborative effort between our associations is to demonstrate to manufacturing companies in Quebec that there are solutions to their production requirements right here in their own backyard. Whether companies are interested in constructing their own solutions or looking for contract manufacturers to bring their products to market, there are numerous companies (big and small) that have the products and knowledge to fulfill these orders” said Merry Dang, Marketing Manager, SME.



The April event will provide educational conference sessions and presentations to address the challenges that face manufacturers today including global competitiveness, identifying ways to grow business while maintaining costs and providing certification opportunities.
