Six Sigma Practiced Here

Franklin, MA, September 2005 - All Eagle Stainless employees have been trained in Six Sigma principles. The results of Six Sigma training has improved production, generated major cost savings, and assured product quality. Six Sigma is not a quality measurement program, nor is it an alternative to ISO 9000. It is a culture that seeks to eliminate defects (aiming at 3.4 errors per million opportunities for error or to get it right 99.99966% of the time!) which in turn passes the savings along to the customer.

The Six Sigma Culture was adopted by Eagle Stainless in 2003 . The plant manager, Roland Souza, is a recognized black belt and has the authority to teach and certify others in the fundamentals of Six Sigma. Several Key employees have taken the initiative to be further trained and are currently green belts in Six Sigma. It is an ongoing goal to continue the practices of Six Sigma along with ISO 9001:2000 and AS 9000 practices. With all of these programs in place Eagle aims to take quality, service and reliability to the next level.
