SIONIX Corporation Acquires R. J. Metals Company


IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 8 / -- James J. Houtz, President of SIONIX Corporation today announced the acquisition of R. J. Metals Company of Anaheim, California. Their entire machine shop operation was moved into SIONIX' new 60,000 square foot manufacturing and assembly facility in Garden Grove, California. The move and operational status was completed in five days.

"R. J. Metals has manufactured parts and assemblies for F-18's, F-16's, C-130's, F-117 Stealth Bomber, SR-71 Spy Plane, DC-9, M-80, C-117 Cargo, gear boxes for airport radar systems, stinger missile, Tomahawk Missile, Abrams Tank, Bell Helicopter, Apache Helicopter and Navy Submarines," stated Rodney Anderson, former principal of R. J. Metals Company.

"As a wholly owned subsidiary of SIONIX Corporation they will play a key role in manufacturing key components for SIONIX Corporation while continuing to serve the aviation and space industries," said Houtz.

Houtz continued, "Their responsibilities will include handling of all stainless steel sheet roll product and other materials that require special fabrication techniques; including shearing, layout, cutting, bending, rolling curves, machining, tool & die, injection molding and welding. These include the waste handling system, which incorporates hundreds of machined parts and welded sub-assemblies. They have been in business for 25 years and a core supplier to SIONIX Corporation for the last eleven years."

This acquisition will allow SIONIX Corporation to move rapidly into production of their patented "Elixir" packaged water treatment systems for municipal, industrial, and privately-operated water organizations around the world.
