Single Source Technologies Acquires Automation Solutions Inc.
New assets to expand distribution and customer support network in the U.S.
Auburn Hills, Mich. –Â Single Source Technologies (SST), a North American distributor of machinery brands, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Automation Solutions Inc. (ASI), effective as of January 18th, 2016.
With locations throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, SST provides customers with leading machine tool technology such as Makino, related consumable tooling, EDM supplies, and engineering and service support that increase customers’ performance, profitability and competitive advantage. SST is a wholly owned subsidiary of Makino Inc., a global leader in advanced machining centers and EDM’s headquartered in Mason, Ohio

ASI was founded in 1992 as a full-service machine tool distributor for Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Long Island, NY. SST’s acquisition of ASI gives customers the same level of exceptional service with the added benefit of a direct relationship with Makino and SST’s local engineering support groups.
SST looks forward to continuing the tradition of exceptional customer support for which ASI has been known for more than 20 years. With its robust network of engineers, the company is committed to offering fast local support with complete machine repair and maintenance programs. SST Mid-Atlantic is going to occupy the main office and showroom facility in West Chester, PA and will also continue to operate from the Pine Brook, NJ facility. The SST EDM machine and consumables activity in New England is expected to continue as is.
