In addition to a diverse background in business development and corporate consulting, Silverman brings to his new post formidable credentials in the corporate training field. In a career spanning more than 10 years, he has conceived, developed and delivered live and on-line training programs for companies in the financial, pharmaceutical and oil industries.
As a corporate trainer, Silverman has developed content for seminars, team consulting projects and executive coaching programs and led "train the trainer" sessions. Author of Digital Presentation, a business skills primer covering how to select, create, design and deliver content for computer-based presentations, his training programs have been licensed to Japan's distinguished Nikkei Business School.
In his new post at Leviton, Silverman will work to support the delivery of live and on-line training programs for the company's comprehensive line of residential structured cabling products and its line of residential lighting control products. The training programs are geared for distributors, contractors, installers, systems integrators and other trade professionals, as well as Leviton's own personnel. Silverman earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Japan's Hitotsubashi Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy. He and his wife reside in Brooklyn, New York.
