SiliconSystems is Named Finalist in Two Categories of AeA's Annual High Tech Innovation Awards

Company is Recognized for its Outstanding Leadership and Innovative Advanced Storage Technology

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., May 10, 2006 - SiliconSystems, Inc., a world leader in advanced storage technology, today announced that it has been named a finalist for two 2006 AeA High Tech Innovation Awards. The AeA is the largest technology trade association in the United States, and the awards given by the Orange County council of AeA recognize key contributors to the local technology sector. From a record number of nominees that AeA has seen in the 13-year history of the awards, SiliconSystems was selected as a finalist in two categories - one honoring the company's leadership and the other its technology.

Michael Hajeck, who has been the company's CEO since he co-founded SiliconSystems in 2002, is among five finalists in the category of "Outstanding Private Company CEO." SiliconSystems' SiSMART, the first technology in the industry to self-monitor solid-state storage system usage and accurately forecast useable life, is among a select group of finalists in the highly competitive "Innovative Product or Technology" category. Patented SiSMART technology is integrated into all SiliconSystems' SiliconDrive products to enhance storage system performance and reliability.

"SiliconSystems is proud to be recognized as an outstanding company and one that is making a positive impact on high tech innovation in Orange County," said Michael Hajeck, CEO at SiliconSystems. "To be noted for the company's leadership as well as its breakthrough technology reinforces the company's position as a worldwide leader in advanced storage technology."

This year's AeA awards, themed "The Race to Innovate," will be held May 18 at the Westin South Coast Plaza. Categories include: Outstanding Company, Outstanding Public Company CEO, Outstanding Private Company CEO, Outstanding Woman in Technology, High Impact Person of the Year, Innovative Product of 2005, and the Greg Ross Community Service Award.
