Sika Further Strengthens its Concrete Products Portfolio in the North American Market with the Acquisition of FRC Industries, Inc
Sika is excited to announce the acquisition of the fastest growing concrete fiber producer in the United States: FRC Industries, Inc of Tuscloosa, Alabama. FRC Industries, established in 2001, is a family owned company with a trusted name operating in the Eastern half of the United States. FRC produces a full line of high quality synthetic polypropylene fibers for concrete. This acquisition will accelerate Sika’s US growth and further establish Sika as a comprehensive and premier supplier of trusted solutions for all aspects of construction.
FRC Industries provides a unique opportunity for Sika to solidify its place in the concrete fiber market as a fiber manufacturer. This acquisition positions Sika as the concrete additive supplier that can produce and supply a complete line of high quality products including, but not limited to, high performance polycarboxylate water reducers, waterproofing admixtures, integral color and now micro synthetic, macro synthetic and steel concrete fibers.
As our second acquisition in 2016 within the concrete additive market, Sika has a clear commitment to bringing value to concrete producers and to the execution of our strategy to provide a full line of construction products from “roof to basement”. With consistent double digit growth in the United States the past few years (without acquisitions), our target market concrete is one of Sika's strongest growing businesses.
